Our Founders

Rui Falcão

CO-FOUNDER
Rui is a passionate angel investor, co-founder of COREangels and REDangels, and a serial entrepreneur with both failures and successful exits. He holds a PhD in angel investing, has won several awards for entrepreneurship, and serves on the boards of multiple professional associations. Rui is also an amateur musician with a home band where he loves to host jam sessions with friends!
Pedro Bandeira

CO-FOUNDER
Pedro is the co-founder of COREangels and REDangels, and has founded 9 companies and 10 associations over the last 20 years. He has built and managed 10 angel groups with over 1000 investors and serves as Vice-President of Angels Investors Portugal. Pedro was once a nurse, loves smart homes, and even created an amateur theater group when he was 15!

Sarah Sommersguter

DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS
Sarah began her journey in the startup world through volunteering and later worked at the Austrian Angel Investors Association. With a background in music, she’s also led a dementia prevention project and continues to develop new business ideas.
Shewly Akter

PROJECT MANAGER
Shewly holds a Bachelor's in International Business Management and a Master's in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, becoming a public speaker at 17 and raising $250k for charity. She completed a full marathon at 15 and is currently working on publishing her autobiography, which she began in grade 10.
Sumi Sultana

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Sumi graduated with a Bachelor's in International Business Management in 2022 and previously ran a handmade jewelry business in Bangladesh and Dubai. She has worked as a teacher, tutor, and at Conforteam in Portugal, and is passionate about politics, entrepreneurship, and secretly enjoys singing.
