We want to help angels to become confident in writing checks, contributing and making money. For this reason we prepared a program, consisting of an online course and live sessions, with content and practical experience!

How does angel investing work? What different kinds are there? Where can you find startups? How can you avoid common mistakes? And how can you support a startup from scouting over becoming profitable until the exit?
Once a week we’ll stream a class on YouTube where we answer these questions and more - for free and in a relaxed atmosphere.

Modules
We will focus on these five modules by combining theoretical input and practical experiences.

In this module, we will take a deep dive into topics such as angel investing basics, startup and angel life-cycles, definitions and mechanisms.

This module helps you to understand which angel type you are, your goals and to design your own investment thesis. Also to understand strategies and typical returns.

In this module, we will focus on startups: Where to find them, how to screen and select them, and how to have fair contracts for both sides.

Here, we will focus on the big difference between angel investors and other startup investors: The value-added collaboration between investor and startup and how you can support your startup from scouting to exit.

In this module, we will take a closer look into the Portuguese investor and startup ecosystem.
Dates and Information
All sessions take place Wednesdays, online, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm (Lisbon Time) + 30min Q&A with the subscribers. The date for the practical experience in cooperation with COREangels Atlantic, Climate, Lisbon and Porto will be announced.

Individual travel and accommodation costs for participating in practical experiences are not included in the subscription price. These can also be accessed online.

There are no limits for the free participation.

Prospective or active investors who have recently started investing in startups as angel investors and want to deepen their knowledge in this area are eligible to participate. This is not a course for the ones curious about the topic but for the ones planning to invest actively and want to professionalize their experience.

We expect the free participants to attend the classes and apply the knowledge to their personal experience.
We expect subscribers to participate in the classes, engage in Q&A sessions, participate in the Investment Committee experience, and collaborate with other participants.

The free program will take place from April until May.
Subscribers have the opportunity to engage in a live class in June to reflect on the practical experience and learn about possible next steps.

Our subscribers will join an investment committee by COREangels Atlantic, Climate, Lisbon or Porto alongside experienced business angels. The investment committee is the practical experience of our program and is a real live experience of being a business angel.
The investment committee consists of startup pitches, Q&As with the startup and a discussion among the business angels, if they should invest in the startup or not.
