Analyst - Angel Fund Operations
Legal & Financial Manager
The Legal & Financial Manager plays a key role in managing both legal and financial operations across our four funds and YAngel, working side-by-side with the investment and operations teams. Your work will be essential in ensuring our structures, processes, and contracts support the fund’s long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Governance
Legally prepare and support the execution of Shareholders Meetings
Coordinate preparation, review, and execution of investment contracts
Support negotiation of deal terms and ensure alignment with fund strategy
Analyse legal documentation for follow-on rounds of portfolio startups
Draft and align partnership agreements with co-investors, especially for secondaries
Ensure exit scenarios are contractually aligned with fund interests and goals
Coordinate with lawyers
Financial Management
Develop and maintain the annual plan and budget
Lead quarterly budgeting and monitoring
Manage monthly financial control processes
Coordinate with accountants and oversee bookkeeping
Prepare the Annual Accounts Report
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to CAI
Prepare quarterly financial and performance reports
Oversee liquidity events (intra-market and extra-market)
Issue Resolution
Proactively solve legal, banking, and accounting issues as they arise
Ideal Candidate
Background in Finance, Accounting, or Law, preferably with a mix of both
At least 3 years of experience in startup investments, contracting, portfolio management, or a similar environment
Solid understanding of startup investment deal structures, startup funding cycles, and investment contracts
Experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
Ability to navigate and resolve legal and regulatory matters
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficient in coordinating with external legal, accounting, and banking partners
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong communication and negotiation support skills
Fluency in English and Portuguese
work permit in Portugal is required

Analyst – Angel Fund Operations
Our angel fund management arm is looking for an analyst to support fund operations.
The Analyst supports fund operations across data management, process execution, dealflow coordination, angel attraction and reporting. This role ensures operational precision and supports the management in implementing fund strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead fund deal-flow
Maintain CRM systems, legal archives, startup and investor data
Support due diligence, legal document handling, and contract archiving
Track startup investment terms, portfolio valuations, and cap table updates
Analyze new startup funding rounds and support exit preparations
Coordinate communications (reports, small updates, news)
Assist in investment committee logistics and follow-up
Monitor startup reports and maintain complete documentation
Coordinate angels involvement
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Knowledge of investment processes and early-stage startup metrics
Proficient in spreadsheets, CRM tools, and document management
Comfortable working cross-functionally and under tight deadlines
Fluency in English and work permit in Portugal is required
